What's so special about today?

So, what's so special about today?

Did a comet hit?    Have aliens attacked us?    Is the President somewhere he shouldn't be?

No, none of these are what makes today special.

Today, Saturday was actually set aside around 6000 years ago by God Himself.  Not just this Saturday, but every Saturday; the 7th day.

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. It took Him a literal 6 days to create everything we see and know. On the 7th day (Saturday) God rested from His work  of creation.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Gen 2:1-3

Wow, what an occasion. God our creator stepped aside the 7th day, blessed it, sanctified it, hallowed it, made it a covenant for ALL generations to come as a sign or MARK that those who worship on the 7th day are remembering the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Its a sign that we serve the one and only living God.

For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:11

Today is a very special day indeed. It is the day the Lord set aside. Its not a day a man can set aside and call his sabbath because the Lord already chose the day. The 7th day, He blessed it. It is the ONLY day that is blessed and set aside. Its the ONLY day that is the Mark of God.

Therefore the seventh day must always be God's Sabbath day. Can you change your birthday from the day on which you were born to one on which you were not born? No. Neither can you change God's rest day to a day on which He
did not rest. Hence the seventh day is still God's Sabbath day.

Interesting Fact: In the bible they did not use Monday Tuesday etc. They used the First Day, the Second Day etc. Actually, Monday etc are pagan based names. Click link for meanings..

The days of the week have never changed (mon tues wed ect) The Jews kept the 7th day; Saturday, and still keep the very same day to this date. Its the same day Christ preached in the synagogues as well as the apostles in the bible.

If Christ kept the 7th day, I think we should as well. It asked of us by God himself to keep ONLY the 7th day. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8.

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. Exodus 23:12

Jesus says it was made for man (Mark 2:27), that is, for the race, as the word man is here unlimited; hence, for the Gentile as well as for the Jew.

It is a memorial of creation. (Exodus 20:11; 31:17.) Every time we rest upon the seventh day, as God did at creation, we commemorate that grand event.

Here is a link to 100 facts about Sabbath

Check out this video. How the Sabbath was changed from the 7th day to the 1st day, strictly history.

Its our Lords way of saying we are His people and He is our God. Its really beautiful In this world every claims the believe in god, or a god. But how do you know who they really serve?

Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God. Ezekiel 20.12,20

And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people. Leviticus 26:12

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Genesis 17:7

If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26

So how awesome is this. Our God set aside a day to be with us, to spend time with us. He makes us lie down and rest a while with Him.

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word (commandments); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:23-24

"If you love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

Sabbath is a commandment of God. Its the commandment that has His seal; His title as creator, His name, His territory. Its His mark on His people!

Don't forget, the 4th commandment says "Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy", it seems the Lord knew many would forget which day it is...

A day to be remembered

If the Sabbath 7th day is Gods mark/sign of His people and obedience to His commandments by His people, then the Mark of Satan (mark of the beast) is another Sabbath to obtain Gods people and gain obedience from them. What other day could that be? Sun-day (Sun worship) Satan always copies God. He has created a day, made men forget the real Sabbath day, abolished the law of God, and has turned over the doctrines of the bible.

Remember, the bible says Sabbath is a sign that we worship God. So, sunday is a sign that means others worship satan. (but dont forget satan has caused many to forget, so many good Christians are unaware of this).
